The VOICE: HIV Clinical Research Training Programme

The VOICE: HIV Clinical Research Training Programme

  • Co-developed by two leading clinical researchers in HIV, Professor Caroline Sabin and Professor Patrick Mallon, The VOICE programme offers participants structured and comprehensive training on clinical research methods.
  • Under the guidance of international leaders, participants will learn and refine their skills necessary to develop a research proposal that is suitable for research funding applications.
  • The programme comprises a series of three meetings (2-3 days each) that will take place in Europe, allowing participants to develop their knowledge and skills cumulatively over time.
  • Since its beginning in 2014, over 135 people from 22 countries have successfully completed the programme.

A message from the course leaders.

"The VOICE provides a fantastic opportunity for those who want to develop a career in HIV research to acquire skills and gain expert input into a research proposal of their choice. It is so fulfilling to be able to help cultivate up-and-coming HIV researchers, paving the way for the breakthroughs of tomorrow."

Caroline Sabin

Professor of Medical Statistics and Epidemiology

University College London

"Research in HIV has come so far in the past few decades but there is still much left to understand. Ideas grow stronger when they are shared, and that's what The VOICE offers. It's an opportunity to connect with individuals who are passionate about HIV research, learn new skills and work together to take those ideas to the next level."

Paddy Mallon

Professor of Microbial Diseases

University College Dublin School of Medicine
